For the month of March we decided to select Dillon Tomicic as our student of the month. Dillon is a 5th grader at Newman Elementary School in Chino. Dillon has been working with our tutor, Jaimi Miles, for about 5 months now in order to help with his homework and to improve his grades.
Jaimi has really enjoyed working with him and seeing him grow academically. She says he is a pleasure to work with and, that while working together, Dillon has brought his math grade up to an A. Jaimi said, “He is improving on his math fact skills, and becoming a better writer.” With Jaimi’s help and his hard work and determination, Dillon “has continued to keep up his grades in all subjects in school over the past few months”. He is a hard working student with high goals for his future – he is trying to get Honor Roll this quarter.
When asked what she thinks about the tutoring her son has received so far, Jennifer said, “I can’t express how much we love Jaimi for Dillon. She has not only changed his attitude, but his grades and confidence as well.” She went on to say, “Dillon has NEVER been excited about report cards coming out and this kid is on countdown mode until they come out because his last one was the best he has ever had (all thanks to her), and he thinks this next one is all A’s and B’s (which has never happened). He thinks he might be on honor roll.”
We are delighted to announce that Dillon and Jaimi’s hard work paid off, Dillon made the Honor Roll for the first time! We are truly very proud of him and so excited about this wonderful accomplishment. Congratulations Dillon!
