I’m a Junior at California Baptist University and I’m majoring in Environmental Science with Biology as a concentration

Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Upland, Rialto, San Bernardino, Riverside
- Where do you want to tutor? Public areas only? Or in the clients’ homes and in public areas?
Ideally I would like to tutor students in a public place but if the student and/or the parent(s) are more comfortable with in-home tutoring I’m more than willing to do that as well.
- What are your hobbies when you are not working?
I’m a big fan of learning new things, reading, watching movies, writing, drawing, conducting science experiments, spending time with the Girl Scout troop that I co-lead, cooking, and baking among other things.
- What accomplishments have you achieved while working as a tutor/teacher?
My all-time biggest accomplishment when it comes to tutoring would have to be the Summer that I taught an elderly man how to read. This particular gentleman had, had a very difficult upbringing and was never presented with the opportunity to learn how to read. The tears of joy that he cried after reading unassisted for the first time made all of the time and hard work worthwhile.
- What do you enjoy the most about tutoring/teaching?
I love the look of satisfaction and self-worth that students experience after they finally conquer the subject that they had been experiencing difficulty with. There isn’t anything better than knowing I helped someone to develop a more positive opinion of themselves.
