There was a time my mom and her friend were encountered in a situation filled with peril in which they almost lost their lives. Running saved their lives, and ultimately saved my life, as I am typing this blog for you all to read. Well, you all have heard my story (I hope), and I want to share with you all what helped me succeed to where I am at right now. Reflecting on the fact that running saved my life has kept me humble and motivated to continue succeeding in school. As cliché as it may sound, the most important factor of success is to not give up. I have often favored a quote in regard to doubters when I try to accomplish something that seems untouchable, which stands to be, “My belief is stronger than your doubt.” With that quote, I have always kept motivation to keep pushing forward. One must simply not give up. Simple as that. Those are the tools I have used as a vessel for the success I have acquired, although I am yet to taste a vast amount of success as I am a young freshman scholar at UC San Diego. As of now, I am attending UC San Diego and am an aspiring Chemical Engineer and I will continue using the tools I have been using to continue succeeding and I would like to invite you all to do the same. I firmly believe the application of these tools will inevitably result in success.
